Annual Fund donations will be used primarily to enhance the Lowell experience for today's students by offsetting the severe and continuing budget cuts to public education. Donations to the LAA will be used to support Lowell's World Languages department (offering instruction in 8 different languages), critical student support services (counseling and library), time-honored Lowell traditions (yearbook and journalism) and our outstanding music and arts programs (by funding the theater tech director position). Your donation will also help us continue our grants program that provides $65,000/year in important "extras" ranging from performances by actors from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival to participation by all Lowell 9th graders in the California Poets in the Schools program. How do on-line donations work?
The Lowell Alumni Association has joined forces with our technology partner, Network for Good, to make on-line donations a reality. Simply proceed to the donation form, supply your information, and your credit card is billed automatically. There's no paperwork, no checks to write, no postage, and best of all, it occurs in real time.

Are on-line donation transactions safe and secure?
Yes. Our partner, Network for Good uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for data encryption.

What credit cards can I use when donating on-line?
We currently accept donations made using Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
(Note: Because of our partnership, your credit card will be billed by "Network for Good," and not the LAA)

Is donor information kept confidential?"
We will never sell, trade, or rent donor information, and our site has security measures to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of donor and donation data. If concerned, you can choose to make an anonymous donation.

Are online donations tax-deductible?
Yes, all contributions, whether made on-line or by check, are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed under federal law. The Lowell Alumni Association is recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization by the IRS

Will I get a receipt for my on-line contribution?
Yes, after you make a contribution and your credit card is verified, a tax receipt is automatically emailed to you acknowledging your contribution for tax purposes. We will also send you an acknowledgment by U.S. mail.

Can I make a recurring donation on a periodic basis?
Yes, you can choose to make a recurring donation on a monthly or quarterly gift schedule. This a great benefit for people on a tight budget. Even a small donation of $5 a month adds up over time and every donation is not only greatly appreciated, but also makes a real difference in the lives of Lowell students.
