The Lowell Alumni Association strives to reconnect our graduates through alumni events and to support the further development of our alma mater for a new generation of students.

Several hundred members of the Lowell community attended the official dedication ceremony for the new wing. The featured speakers were Dr. Eric Cornell ('80), who won the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physics, and Dr. Arlene Ackerman, Superintendent of Schools for the SFUSD. Music was provided by the Lowell Chamber Winds and Lowell Choir. The event also featured a traditional Chinese lion dance to help bring good luck to the newest addition to the Lowell campus.

	A large billboard welcomed the Lowell community to the dedication ceremony.		The Lowell Chamber Winds entertained the gathering crowd.		The Lowell Color Guard and Drum Corps marched onto the stage.
Everyone stood as they were led through the Pledge of Allegiance.		Several hundred people attended the ceremony, held on the south lawn.		The Lowell Choir performed spirit songs written by Bob Anino.
	The audience listened intently as each new speaker took the podium.		Principal Paul Cheng thanked everyone for attending this event.		LAA VP Terry Abad spoke about the involvement of alumni on this project.
Featured speaker, Dr. Eric Cornell, reminisced about his days at Lowell.		Jill Wynns talked about the need for more bond measures to fund schools.		Superintendent Arlene Ackerman accepted the new wing on behalf of the district.
	Lion dancers performed in front of the new wing to bring it good luck.		The event was capped off with the official ribbon cutting ceremony.		Lowell Forever!
